NEWS
March 2nd 2007 This will be the last update until I load the site onto my lap top. If that doesn't happen, or I come across complications that are large enough during the process, it will be the last update ever, (even though I doubt it will go that way). I don't think the site will be effected at all while this happens, although I am not certain of this. In the event that the site goes down for good, the myspace page will become the "official website" (or whatever you wanna call it) for BR. Here is the link: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=8760005 Otherwise, as I've said, I think BR#8 will be out sometime in May or June, but it's possible that it will not be till August or September. It will contain show reviews of Suffocation/Goatwhore/Porphyria/Throwing Shrapnal, Ghoul/Doom + Grind Fest 07, Dragonforce/All that Remains, Gallows/Rosetta/Gift of Tongues/Death Among Thieves, Straping Young Lad/Goatwhore/Ruin, Unleased/Krisiun/Belphagor/Zircon and some others that I'm probebly forgetting. I went to way too many shows this time. There will of course also be another big chapter of train stuff, this time documenting the epic "Quest for Copper Canyon." I also hope to have more stuff from people other then myself this time. As always, there is no deadline for submitting material for review, but I'd say that if you want to add to the mountain of shitty CDs (they're not all shitty) for #8, early May would be a good time to have stuff sent by. 2/17/07 There are a few photo additions. Rosetta and Gift of Tongues now have stuff up in the "bands" section. There are also a few new/older pics added to the Nepal page (scroll past the older stuff). I've also added 2 things to the "journals" page, which can be found here and here (old school shit right here). I am broke these days, and in the process of moving out of the house in Yarmouth for good. I believe the contract on the place has come very close to going through, if it hasn't already. So I think this will be the 2nd to last update on the site until I figure out how to load the whole fucking thing onto my laptop. BR#8 will not be out until May, at the earliest (unless someone else wants to pay for it for some weird reason). There will also be some other stuff coming along in time, like the implied BR#7.5, and possibly an unabridged version of the Mexico trip in it's own zine. Anyways, enjoy the new pix for now...
1/16/07 Back home from a very brief trip of riding around Mexico for a bit, and some other places. Pictures are up under the "trains" section, or you can click right... here. Gonna start putting together BR#7.5 and BR#8 soon. Enjoy! 12/2/06 BR#7 has been reviewed in Metal Maniacs. Thanks to Kevin Stewart Panko for writing yet another awesome and flattering review. Click on the thumbnail to see the review, and make sure to check out the new issue of Metal Maniacs (the one with Amon Amarth on the cover). (the winter issue of Slug + Lettuce also had a good review of BR#7, but I don't have a scan of it) Also, I've almost finished updating the site with new pics. There are several new band photo pages (Dragonforce, Ghoul, new aditions to the Origin page, Goatwhore, Ruin, Wolf Eyes and a few more). I'm still getting used to the camera I've been borrowing temporarely from my dad, so in my mind, most of these pics blow, but enjoy them all the same.
There is also a new page under the "trains/freighthopping" section, of pics from various things from over the summer and fall, which has some pretty rad stuff. Other then that, I'm outta here for a brief trip to "somewhere other than Maine," probebly till Febuary. The PO Box will still be checked while I'm gone, so all orders will be taken care of as normal. BR#7.5 as well as BR#8 will be kickin around in the spring, so theres still plenty of time to add to the mountain of shitty CD's that I've been procrastinating writing reviews for. anyways... thats all for now.
